This wedding featured a unique theme inspired by Homer’s Odyssey and had the imposing Poseidon’s temple as its backdrop. Everything was all about simplicity and purity, from the white naked cake to the bottles filled with herbs and virgin olive oil as wedding treats. The bride looked like a modern-day muse, dressed in a gorgeous beaded gown with a wreath crowning her head and holding an unusual yet very Grecian bouquet, both made of olive tree leaves. Deckle-edge paper and calligraphy were used for the wedding suite, including labels for the wine bottles with the first verse of Odyssey printed on them. Decorations involved fresh lotus fruits that enhanced the theme and added a pop of color.
