Nikos & Christina - Wedding in Monemvasia

Nikos and Christina’s wedding took place in the medieval castle town of Monemvasia.
The old town of Monemvasia is like a journey back to the past and one of the most romantic wedding destinations in Greece. 
With the gobble stone streets, traditional stone houses and the breathtaking view of the Aegean sea, Monemvasia’s medieval castle is truthfully ideal for a fairytale wedding in Greece. Without a doubt, every wedding in Monemvasia is filled with elegance, romance and class.

Nikos and Christina Greek-Americans, living and working abroad for several years, chose the medieval city of Monemvasia for their wedding in order to get back to their roots in Greece.
This magical atmosphere is exactly all what they have dreamed of for their wedding.
The wedding theme was organic green and white, inspired by the romance of this unique fortress, a perfect match for Monemvasia surroundings. Olive branches with white flowers made it an authentically Greek setting, emphasized the beauty of Monemvasia castle.
Their Greek Orthodox wedding in a little chapel located inside the fortress, Panagia Chrysafitissa, was exactly as they imagined. 
Christina was escorted to the church by walking through the cobblestone alleys, by her father
The wedding reception followed at Ktima Petra, a romantic venue in Monemvasia, decorated beautifully with fresh flower arrangements and candles.
Guests had the opportunity to taste the local sweets, to drink local wine and enjoyed the wedding celebration into the early hours of the morning.
